Enabler Alert Extraordinaire!!

Oh my oh my oh my...look what I found at my local Costco yesterday...

Ohhhhh...  They had three different packages of ribbons!  Each box has 10 spools of ribbon in it, and each spool has 10 yards of ribbon on it.  So there's 100 yards of ribbon in each box!  And get this....it's only $9.97 a box!!!!  That's 10 cents a yard!!!!!

Here's just a few of my favorites!

They are SO pretty!  Plus, as a bonus, me and a friend went in half and half, so we each got 5 yards of each ribbon and split the cost.  So basically, I got 150 yards of 30 different kinds of premium ribbon for $15.  SCORE!!!!!!!!!

More Vinyl!!

I've been on a bit of a vinyl/Cricut kick lately.  Here's something me and hubby did a few weeks ago with a new mailbox he picked up. 

I pointed him in the right direction on the Gypsy, and he picked out the flourishes we used!  I love the way it came out!

My HUGE Vinyl Project!

I had SO MUCH FUN last week.  I spent a few days in Seattle hanging out with my AWESOME daughter!  She recently received a promotion and her own office, and asked me to come over to help her decorate a wall!  (Here's a post I wrote about the AMAZING non-profit agency she works for, and what they do.)  It took her a while to figure out what she wanted, but finally decided on inspirational words and butterflies.  (75 of those little suckers!  Can you see them flying up the wall and into the corner?)

Before you say anything...YES, I know that cupcake isn't necessarily an inspirational word...but it is for Emily!!  It's one of her favorite things on earth, and if you ever need to know where the absolute best cupcakes in Seattle are...ask her!  I think she's been to about every place that sells them!  Haha!

Yes, that's her reaching for the cupcake!  Please note that we got to her office at 8 am, and other than leaving for lunch and dinner, we stayed til 12:30am...the next morning!

Here's a close-up where you can see the butterflies better.  They're very subtle, but it looks incredible!

We had to put in one little green butterfly.  He wanted to stand out!

Everything was done in vinyl (Glue Arts brand, and Contact Paper) on my Cricut with the assistance of Ms. Gypsy.  If you would like any particulars on what cartridges the fonts or butterflies came from, just ask...because, honestly, it's late and I'm sleepy and too lazy to go look them all up right now!  Haha!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #145

I took pics of my desk in sections this week, because I can't believe how much is going on!  (even my dog Bailey is standing there going, "Gees Mom...clean it up!!")  Here's an over view from one angle...

And a little in between!  I've been doing lots of Smashing lately (see previous posts if you're interested) so this was a pile left from a few days ago.  I found some old stickers and lots of fun papers to put in my book.

I had a few more pics to show you of some things I picked up shopping last night and a mess I made from some coloring I've been doing, but Blogger has decided it's posted all the pics of mine that it's going to for right now!  So maybe we can catch up a little next week!

SMASH-E Goodness

Happy Friday peeps!!!!  I hope you all have something wonderfully fun planned for your weekend.  I have no idea what we're doing, if anything, but I know that I'll have two glorious days with my sweet hubby, and that makes it a great weekend for me!

So, I mentioned in a previous post about a Facebook group I joined that is all about Smashing in Smashbooks.  It has been SO INSPIRING to see some of the wonderful pages these talented Smashers have come up with!  I have finally decided to post a few of my own pages, although some of them pale in comparision to some of the beautiful pages I've seen on the group's page!

Here's a page I was working on today. I used a bunch of the different Washi tapes I made last week to help decorate the page. I learned that your tapes aren't going to show up nearly as well on a dark background (like the bottom right page) as they will a light or white background (the left page.) Too bad too, since I really liked the colors and patterns of the tapes on the right page. I have lots of them left though so...live and learn!

This next page was one I just had fun with.  The pictures on the two pages that came in the Smashbook were ones I didn't particularly care for, and since there are NO RULES in Smashing, I simply covered them up with all kinds of scraps and strips and a few extra die cuts I had.  I will eventually do something more with this page, but for now, I'm just enjoying looking at all the colors and patterns!

These next two pages are full of ideas I got from the SMASH*aholics Facebook group.  There was a giveaway and to enter, you needed to write an idea for a Smah page or a whole entire Smashbook theme.  There were some AMAZING ideas!  So...I made two pages out of them...one was a page to write down ideas for future Smash pages...

...and the other was for ideas for entire Smashbook themes.  You might notice I left lots of blank space on both pages so I'll have some room to add future ideas!

The last page I have to show you, is just lots of quotes I had on stickers or found on Pinterest.  I called the pages, "Words of Wisdom."
